Sheila is a registered nutritional therapist and a member of the British Association for Applied Nutritional Therapy and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council which is the accredited register for the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
Sheila Illingworth is a registered nutritional therapist and a member of the British Association for Applied Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CHNC) which is the accredited register for the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
She is also qualified as a Level 3 Personal fitness trainer, Level 3 sports masseur, athletic coach and teacher.
As a former international athlete, having represented the UK at the Commonwealth Games, the World Championships and a member of the Olympics Team, she understands the importance of diet and how it can impact on mental well-being as well as short and long term health issues. Sheila has worked in a very varied field with adults in the work place, schools, colleges and one to one clients seeking to improve their health.
Sheila has specialised in gut health for much of her time as a Nutritionist and works closely with analytical laboratories diagnosing any health issues that may arise after discussion with a client about their health, that can arise from poor diet, to stress or genetic weaknesses. She realises the huge impact that stress can have on the body. She delivers health promotion for corporate organisations often in community settings including the public health profession and businesses.
